David Valdez

I want to highlight this valuable blog for all you Madison jazz fans and musicians. David Valdez is a talented sax player transplanted from the east coast to the Portland area. His most recent post is an mp3 of a Michael Brecker masterclass. Just before that he posted several obscure fake books for download. In his archives you can find many other fake books, great links, valuable theory nuggets, interviews with famous players, and interesting opinions.

I subscribe to his RSS feed using BlogBridge as my reader. This way I can keep up to date on all the blogs I read without having to go to all the sites. Much faster than going to each individually. The same thing can be done with this site, but of course you may miss out on important announcements that aren’t in a post but elsewhere on the site.

His link is also on my blogroll to the right.
